The project was born from the Durum Wheat Manifesto, Barilla's vision for quality pasta, made with the best Italian durum wheat and a supply chain that respects the territory and the community.
11 Italian artists, professionals of international caliber and emerging talents, have told their vision of the Barilla Durum Wheat Manifesto in unique and original illustrations, through the use of lines, shapes, symbols and colors inspired by traditional pasta.
Their work has become an art show and a limited edition series of the classic pasta boxes.

“Piatti d’autore” is the capsule collection of plates created for Barilla, 6 Italian artists interpreted the theme “Un Gesto d’amore” (A gesture of love).

The project became an itinerary art exhibition through some of the major cities in Italy (Parma, Milan…). Thanks to augmented reality, the illustrations come to life becoming dynamic and interactive and create a story that welcomes the public on display.
